Our VisionEstablished in 1993, we dedicate ourselves to helping our clients manage and understand their IT Infrastructure and electromagnetic environments. Our TeamMarc A. Bélanger, P.Eng., ATD, ASNT Certified Thermographer, is a licensed Professional Engineer (since 1988), and President and founding member of Better Technologies Corporation(1993) in Ottawa, Canada. Marc is a licensed Professional Engineer, an Accredited Tier Designer(ATD), a certified Infrared Thermographer, and holds an engineering degree from the University of Ottawa(1986). He is fluent in both English and French. He serves as Company President, Chief Designer, and Chief Project Manager. Marc has over twenty five years of both public and private sector experience as a Computer Center Designer, and as a Power Quality and Electromagnetics Consultant (BTC Canada - founder 1993). Marc has been involved in countless IT Infrastructure (Data Centre) design and development projects. He has performed numerous comprehensive data centre designs and audits, electrical power quality and electromagnetic interference surveys, and power quality investigations. During his 25 years of experience, he has developed considerable expertise in IT Infrastructure design and has been actively involved in the research and development of ELF EMI surveying and mitigation. He participates in numerous technical courses, seminars, and conferences, and has presented and published articles on power quality and the electromagnetic environment. Michel Fortier, B.Eng., RCDD., is a BTC/PowerCET Canada Associate specializing in electrical over-stress (EOS), electrostatic discharge (ESD), electronics product design, manufacturing, testing, and test system instrumentation. Michel has both an engineering and geology degree from the University of Ottawa and is a certified RCDD. He is a regular participant in technical seminars from BCSI and courses on informatics, and information technology. His expertise includes cross-platform system integration and networking. Over the past 15 years, Michel has acquired considerable experience in the development of sales and service groups within the highly competitive electronics marketplace, and as such, has developed a keen understanding of the complexity of the modern electromagnetic environment. His areas of concentration have typically been in ease of manufacturing, ergonomic interfaces, design of controls layout, performance testing, and troubleshooting. Michel serves as BTC's cable plant designer(RCDD) and senior project manager. He became an associate of BTC/ PowerCET Canada in 1994 and is fluently bilingual (French and English). Eric Gutknecht, is a BTC/PowerCET Canada Associate. He brings with him 18 years of IT experience as a Project Manager and Quality Assurance Director (COREL). His extensive skills in project management provide a new depth to BTC/PowerCET Canada's IT Infrastructure consulting capabilities. Eric is also responsible for directing our marketing , business development, and client support activities. Kristine Bélanger, is a PowerCET Canada Associate. She brings with her 18 years of business administration experience (Bell Canada) as a Product Manager and Service Developer of financial data transaction network services. Her extensive knowledge of customer support and her skills in project management provide BTC/PowerCET Canada with competent management and administrative capabilities. She joined BTC/PowerCET Canada Better Technologies Corporation in January 2005. In addition to the TEAM members listed above, PowerCET has associations with other companies and individuals who have specialized capabilities and knowledge. These additional resources are available to PowerCET for deployment as needed, to investigate and resolve complex electrical and environmental issues, and to address equipment design and performance problems.
